Book Review and Cover Inspiration

This is my second review on the blog and it is for a book I mentioned earlier on my face book page: "The case of the missing servant" by Tarquin hall. As I had shared earlier, I am into reading heavy books tackling serious social stigmas and issues. Most of the books I have read in past 2 years were based in India, I guess I have my phases of reading habits. Though, I am seeing a change in pattern now. This book is not an out an out serious work, it has its moments of being funny but in a quirky way. One thing that is absolutely worth appreciating about the book is character building. The main role is that of a detective named "Vish Puri", who can be thought of an Indian Poirot. The book has its serious sections where you are brought face to face with the vices of Indian society. All in all it is an entertaining read and recommended for anyone looking something easy and entertaining to read.

Now coming to the outfit, the color combination is inspired from the book cover :) I had picked this book during my trip to India because the color was visually appealing and intriguing. This left me thinking of creating an outfit with similar colors. Quick comparison: the hot pink base of the cover was incorporated as color pop via the lip color and the necklace, the white print comes out as white blouse, the mustard car was translated into golden accessories and the mint car windows into the mint nailpaint and subtle mint in the accessories.

Blouse and necklace: Forever21; denim:Levis; Cardigan:Express; Flats:ALDO; shades:Chloe; clutch:ZARA; bracelet: from India :)
